Any substance or behaviour can become an addiction if you use it to excess. Common addictions include:

Whilst a particular behaviour or substance may give you temporary relief from a deep seated problem or issue, it won’t actually address the problem or resolve it. Soon you’ll find yourself repeating the behaviour over and over again till it becomes excessive and grows into an addiction that controls you and your relationships. It will turn your life upside down.
