Fees
In order to keep our services accessible to as many people as possible, Men & Relationships Counselling charges a fee that is about two thirds of the rate recommended by the Australian Psychological Society.
It is requested that payments are made at the time of consultation unless specifically negotiated with the practitioner prior to the appointment. Payments can be made by credit card, cheque or cash. A receipt will be issued by the practitioner at the time of payment.
Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in duration (the therapeutic hour).
Current fees
Individual consultation $150
Couples consultation $170
• Concessions are available for those in financial difficulty.
• Clients on Workcover, TAC and Crimes Compensation benefits are seen at no additional cost to the
client.
Rebates
All our psychologists are registered for the Medicare items for psychological treatment and the Enhanced Primary Care Program. These rebates require a referral from a GP or psychiatrist.

Also, clients with appropriate extras cover in their private health insurance may be eligible for reimbursement. Please contact your health fund directly to determine your level of cover.
Cancellation Policy
Counseling needs to take place on a regular basis in order to be effective. Appointments should be consistently scheduled and regularly attended. Missed appointments can jeopardise treatment and slow the healing work.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice (2 working days) will be charged a cancellation fee of the full price of a session. This policy is representative of the industry standard within the Counselling/Psychotherapy profession.
