In order to keep our services accessible to a wider range of people, Men & Relationships Counselling (MRC) charges a fee that is about two thirds of the rate recommended by the Australian Psychological Society. It is requested that payments are made at the time of consultation unless specifically negotiated with the practitioner prior to the appointment. Payments can be made by credit card, cheque or cash. A receipt will be issued by the practitioner at the time of payment. Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in duration (the therapeutic hour).

Current fees are:

• Individual consultation $130

• Couples consultation $150

• Concessions are available for those in financial difficulty.

• Clients on Workcover, TAC and Crimes Compensation benefits are seen at no additional cost to the client.

Rebates

All our psychologists are registered for the Medicare items for psychological treatment, and the Enhanced Primary Care Program. These rebates require a referral from a GP or psychiatrist.

Also, clients with appropriate extras cover in their private health insurance may be eligible for some reimbursement.Please contact your health fund directly to determine your level of cover.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend an appointment, 48 hours notice is required otherwise the full fee will be charged.
